As of January 1, 2011, Kane County Illinois Dept. of Public Health will REQUIRE ALL food handlers to take a food handlers training course.  In order to meet this requirement, Safe Food Handlers is offering a 2+hour course on basic food safety.  Students will learn:  Foodborne Illness, Types & Sources of Contamination, Receiving & Storing Food, Proper Cooking Temperatures, Personal Hygiene, Cleaning & Sanitizing and Pest Prevention. 

The course is available in Aurora, Elgin and St. Charles.
